Why do they electroplate their battery trays? Batteries, by nature, are extremely corrosive. Their high acid content means they sweat or give off fumes if put under load or are subjected to too much heat. The electroplated coating protects the metal in the battery tray from being corroded by the acid.

Tray mounts behind original battery. A right angle drill may be required to install tray, modifications to the fuel line bracket and where the fuel lines run will also be required.

This tray also provides the ability to use a high capacity starting battery located in our tray and a large Auxiliary battery located in the original battery position.
